Chapter 686: Complete Madness
While everyone was still reeling from that earth-shattering slap, Ji Yu in the cage made a new move.
He moved like a walking mountain, striding toward Hank, who lay collapsed at the edge of the cage, his condition unknown.
This sudden movement terrified the referee, who thought the Hell Titan was moving in for the kill.
But he didn’t dare make any move to stop him.
However, Ji Yu didn’t make any aggressive move. He stopped beside Hank, bent his massive frame, and poked the man with one finger, as if to check something.
When the man still didn’t move, Ji Yu couldn’t help but lower his head to look at the huge hand he’d just slapped with, studying his palm carefully.
Only then did he raise his head toward where Liu Yutong sat on the second floor and scratch his head with a simple, honest look.
“Young Mistress, it looks like he’s gone to see his Great-grandmother. Maybe his Great-grandmother wanted to chat with him, and it might take a while…”
Liu Yutong: “…”
Yun Cheng: “…”
Chu Yang: “…”
Yun Cheng silently turned away, the corners of his mouth twitching violently. This guy… was really something else.
Chu Yang watched Ji Yu below, looking both intimidating and oddly naive, and couldn’t help but grumble, “Damn, from now on, if anyone calls Ji Yu simple-minded, I’ll be the first to argue with them! This buddy clearly put all his fucking talent points into Strength and Defense!”
As the two of them started bantering back and forth, the audience below finally recovered from the shock of that devastating slap.
“Hank must weigh at least a hundred and fifty, maybe two hundred kilograms, right? And he just got slapped away like that? How much force would that take?”
“At least five hundred pounds! No, eight hundred! Maybe even more!”
“That Hell Titan is terrifying! From now on, anyone who dares mess with these Chinese better think about the Hell Titan’s slap!”
“What’s the deal with this Eastern woman? First the Black and White Fiends, now the Hell Titan. Are all Chinese people this savage? Feels so alien!”
“I heard these Chinese are from a major, extremely powerful crime syndicate over there. Being fierce makes sense.”
“That Chinese woman is definitely the gang queen of China!”
“Rossi lost both rounds. He’s really done for now!”
“…”
On the second floor, several elders of the Corallo Family exchanged glances, their eyes full of shock.
Antonio’s hand holding his wine glass trembled slightly, spilling wine without him even noticing. He turned to another elder beside him and asked, “Karl, have you ever seen a human like that?”
Karl Corallo, an early professional boxer in the family, also shook his head with a grave expression. “I’ve been boxing for nearly twenty years. The biggest, strongest guy I ever saw was a Russian giant named Vasily, two meters and nine centimeters tall. But compared to that Hell Titan down there, even he falls short—especially the Hell Titan’s muscle density and explosive power. It’s incredible!”
“For such a terrifying giant to appear among Easterners is extremely, extremely rare. You could even say it’s unprecedented.”
“Looks like we can’t underestimate Easterners from now on, especially the Chinese.”
Antonio looked toward Liu Yutong. “This Eastern girl and her people aren’t ordinary gangsters. I heard Jess mention they’re called Wanlong Society. Now I’m curious—just how strong is Wanlong Society as a whole? Can they compare to the Mafia?”
“Probably not, right? After all, our family is just one branch of the Mafia.”
“In any case, Jess is lucky to have found such a powerful backer.”
“Then Rossi…” Karl started to say, then stopped.
Antonio let out a cold laugh. “He made his choice. If he had conceded earlier, maybe he could’ve bowed out gracefully. But now, he has no chance.”
Everyone followed his gaze to Rossi’s private box.
At this moment, Rossi Corallo’s entire face was twisted to the extreme.
“Impossible! How could Hank lose? How could he possibly lose!”
He suddenly spun around to look at Miles, who also had a dark expression. “Miles, you saw it, right? That Chinese monster must’ve used some kind of cheat! This match wasn’t fair!”
Miles himself was also in turmoil.
He’d originally been invited by Rossi to back him up. If Rossi could win smoothly, the Hell’s Angels motorcycle gang could sign an alliance agreement with the Corallo Family, who represented the Mafia in San Francisco.
But instead, they’d stumbled twice at the hands of an Eastern girl.
They hadn’t gained a single benefit and had lost Iron Fist, a valuable enforcer, plus a huge sum of money. They got royally screwed!
But compared to Rossi, who was on the verge of madness, Miles still retained one last shred of composure befitting a crime boss.
“Rossi, calm the hell down. A loss is a loss. So many people watched it happen, and you set the rules yourself. What’s the point of saying this now?”
“Calm? How the hell am I supposed to stay calm?”
Rossi suddenly erupted in fury, grabbing Miles by the collar and screaming hysterically. “Do you know what losing this round means? Three million dollars total! I can’t afford that even if I sold everything I own! And the family control—Jess has such strong foreign backing now, do you think he’ll let me live? He’ll crush me like a fucking bug!”
Miles’s face darkened. “Let go, Rossi. This is your problem, not mine!”
“Trying to dump this on me, huh?”
Rossi suddenly sneered. “Miles, don’t forget—you were the one who suggested the two-on-two match. Now that we’ve lost, you want to wash your hands of it?”
Miles frowned. “What do you want?”
A flash of madness sparked in Rossi’s eyes. “Simple. We have to get back all the money we lost. Let’s join forces and take them out right now!”
At these words, Miles’s frown deepened, a flicker of impatience and regret flashing in his eyes—regret that he’d trusted Rossi’s bullshit and gotten dragged into this family feud.
He glanced at the only two men he had left behind him, then surveyed the situation around him, realizing he was in an absolutely weak position here.
Aside from neutral gang members, both Jess and Rossi—those Corallo Family guys—each had dozens of their men with them.
That Chinese girl, needless to say, also had twenty black-clad men with her. Everyone present had witnessed the terrifying strength of three of them, and the others probably weren’t far behind.
Gangsters eating gangsters, reneging on debts and shootouts were common, but only when the timing and strength were right.
Now was clearly not the time for a head-on confrontation.
So no matter how much it pained him to lose the money, he had to endure it for now.
It wasn’t that he was chicken—he’d only brought three men with him this time, and Rossi had gotten one of them killed. Now only two remained.
The reason he’d brought so few was that he’d trusted Rossi too much. He never expected Rossi’s nephew Jess would find some ‘Great-grandmother’ to crush them!
If they got into a shootout now, wouldn’t that be suicide?
Even if they were going to war, shouldn’t he at least wait until he brought more men?
Having clearly assessed his situation, Miles unhesitatingly rejected Rossi’s proposal: “This bet was always an internal Corallo Family matter. It’s got nothing to do with me.”
“You were the greedy one who had to gamble with that Chinese woman. Now that you’ve lost, you want to drag me down with you? Dream on!”
“If you want to make a move, wait until I’m gone. I’m not participating.”
Seeing this guy backing down, Rossi’s eyes grew redder and redder. “Fine. Just great… If that’s how it is, then nobody gets out of this happy!”
Before the words even finished leaving his mouth, Rossi pulled another black pistol from his waist—clearly he’d hidden more than one gun today.
Bang!
The gunshot exploded!
Miles looked down in shock at the bloody hole in his chest, then looked up at Rossi in disbelief. “You… you dare…”
Bang! Bang!
Two more shots!
Miles crashed to the floor, slamming hard against the ground, eyes wide open, dying with his last sight still in them.
The entire venue fell deathly silent!
Everyone was stunned.
Rossi… had actually killed Miles?
The second-in-command of the Hell’s Angels motorcycle gang, gunned down in public just like that?
“Boss!” The two Hell’s Angels members reacted, roaring as they prepared to retaliate.
But Rossi was faster. He swung his gun around and fired several more shots at the two Hell’s Angels members.
The two men convulsed and collapsed in pools of blood, lifeless.
Three people killed in the blink of an eye!
Rossi Corallo, this gambler who’d lost everything, this family traitor driven to the edge, had gone completely mad!
