Chapter 552: The Terrified Vocational College Freshmen
“What’s going on? What the hell happened?”
“Holy shit, a car just pulled up—a Maybach! That thing’s gotta be worth millions at least?!”
“A major player’s arrived!”
Xu Qiang and his crew were so fixated on the approaching vehicle and the gathered black-clad figures that they almost forgot they were supposed to be reciting the rules.
The Maybach slowly pulled to a stop at the school gates.
All the black-clad individuals had already formed neat rows to receive the arrival. Even the black-clad girl from earlier was now standing respectfully by the car door.
One of the black-clad men slowly pulled the door open.
What greeted Xu Qiang’s group was unexpected—not the seasoned crime boss they’d imagined, nor some elderly tycoon, but a girl so young she looked about their own age, dressed entirely in black.
What’s more, she bore the same dragon emblem on her chest, except hers was crafted from crystal—a detail that completely set her apart from the other black-clad figures.
Before Xu Qiang and his friends could even guess who this girl might be, the black-clad figures arranged in several rows immediately bowed in unison, respectfully greeting her in one thunderous voice.
“Young Mistress!”
Hundreds of voices united in greeting, creating an overwhelmingly powerful spectacle. The scene rivaled those classic movie moments when a crime lord makes their entrance—purely breathtaking.
Xu Qiang and his crew were completely stunned.
“Wait, isn’t that… the Finance University campus queen?”
“Isn’t that the top student from the honor roll? How’d she become a crime boss’s daughter?”
“What the actual hell! Who could’ve seen this coming?”
The student who’d earned countless honors on the campus bulletin board, the beauty queen of Finance University—now surrounded by black-clad underlings like some mafia queen.
The campus queen was actually a crime boss’s daughter?
The contrast was simply too extreme.
Then they couldn’t help but glance at themselves kneeling under the trees, reciting the rules. Suddenly, it struck them that sometimes the gap between people could be even greater than the gap between humans and dogs.
Look at that—that’s what you call ruling the streets. They were nothing but clowns.
Meanwhile.
The crowd gathered at the school gates instantly erupted at the sight of Liu Yutong.
Not just freshmen—even many upperclassmen hadn’t seen Liu Yutong on campus for nearly half a year. Yet even in her absence, the honors and accolades kept rolling in.
Now that the legend herself had appeared, many Finance University students were thrilled.
“Oh my god, Liu Yutong is really back!”
“Wow! This entrance is ridiculously over-the-top?!”
“It’s really her—even prettier than in photos!”
“She’s so cool, so incredibly cool!”
In that moment, many girls genuinely understood what it meant for a woman to outshine men. Just look at Liu Yutong’s aura and entourage—absolutely devastatingly cool.
Some bold freshmen even couldn’t resist asking for autographs.
“Senior! Over here!”
“Senior, can I have your autograph?”
“………..”
After getting out of the car, Liu Yutong quickly spotted Xu Qiang and his group kneeling in a row, mouths open to catch dripping soda, and raised an eyebrow slightly.
“What’s going on here?”
Yu Xin immediately stepped forward. “Sister Yutong, it’s a group of Vocational College freshmen calling themselves Dragon Gate. They wanted to establish a foothold in University City.”
“Dragon Gate?”
“Trying to leap through the Dragon Gate?”
Liu Yutong looked again at Xu Qiang and his crew kneeling on the ground, speaking flatly. “Since they enjoy the underworld life so much, let’s take good care of them. Don’t we have people at Vocational College?”
“We do. I’ll make the arrangements.”
“Good.”
Liu Yutong then turned to Yang Xin and the others. “Let’s have dinner tomorrow. Everyone is dismissed.”
“Yes, Young Mistress!” the group chorused.
Just as Liu Yutong was about to turn and leave, a loud, boisterous voice suddenly rang out behind her.
“Wow! Sister Yutong, you’re finally back!”
A girl in a hoodie, covered in all sorts of bizarre trinkets and accessories, leaped out of a car and bounded toward Liu Yutong, wrapping her in a big bear hug.
“Sister Yutong, I’ve missed you so much!”
Liu Yutong eyed the jangling assortment hanging off her and asked, “Xiaohui, why are you wearing so many accessories?”
“These are custom figurines I had made! Our Purple Dragon Club has been established, so I thought I’d create a mascot. I made too many though—Sister Yutong, could you help me pick the best one?” Li Xiaohui said excitedly.
Liu Yutong found these kinds of decisions most tedious. “Just pick whichever one you like.”
“Alright then.”
Only then did Li Xiaohui notice Xu Qiang’s group kneeling not far away, with soda cans suspended above their heads, as if she’d discovered a new continent.
“Wow! Is this some new performance art? A modern version of studying by hanging from a beam and stabbing one’s thigh?”
After Yu Xin explained the situation, Li Xiaohui’s eyes lit up instantly.
“I’m great at this! Let me supervise, let me supervise.”
She then excitedly approached Xu Qiang and his friends, and her first words immediately terrified them.
“Each of you must copy the school rules one hundred times. You can crawl back once you’re done.”
Xu Qiang’s crew: “!!!”
You might as well just beat us to death!
Naturally, Liu Yutong wouldn’t waste time on a bunch of freshmen. After exchanging greetings, she headed into campus, even smiling and waving at fellow students—she didn’t act aloof at all.
In truth, after so much time had passed, many at Finance University understood Liu Yutong’s personality. She normally carried no airs at school and was quite easy to get along with.
If this were back when she’d first become famous last year, they probably wouldn’t have dared speak to her.
“Senior Liu is so cool! She’s my idol!”
“This is what a real boss looks like—top grades, stunning beauty, and that aura! Absolutely incredible!”
“Those wannabe thugs thought they could establish themselves in front of Senior Liu? Hilarious!”
“Bet they’ll remember this lesson forever!”
“……..”
After several hours of torture, Xu Qiang’s group finally escaped their nightmare and were allowed to leave.
However, as they departed, most of them had weak, wobbly legs.
It wasn’t entirely from kneeling—it was mostly from sheer terror.
Earlier, many of them had been taken aside for “private supplementary lessons” in that little black car after failing the “exam.”
But they all knew it wasn’t really tutoring.
Sure enough, every single person who went in came out looking terrible—pale-faced, vacant-eyed, drained of energy, as if their souls had been hollowed out.
All of them clenched their teeth, refusing to reveal what kind of brutal “torture” they’d endured inside.
Of course, their refusal only terrified those who hadn’t been taken to the black car, spurring them to memorize the rules with desperate intensity just to suffer less.
Only when the sky had turned completely dark were they finally permitted to leave.
Yet Xu Qiang and his crew felt no relief whatsoever. Instead, they were deeply troubled. After this experience, they finally understood why University City had no student gangs.
With such a ruthless Wanlong Society dominating the area, who would dare form a club?
Later, they learned just how brutal Wanlong Society’s past exploits had been—throwing people off buildings, outright killing them… The worst part was, the black-clad members they’d seen today were just a tiny fraction of the organization’s numbers.
The sheer scale of Wanlong Society’s terror was unimaginable!
They also cursed those upperclassmen who had deliberately withheld this information.
Absolutely despicable!
“Brother Qiang, why do you think they recorded all our information—home addresses, blood types, family medical history… what are they planning?”
At these words, everyone froze, a sinking feeling in their guts.
A moment later, someone voiced what they were all thinking.
“I… I’ve heard, just heard, that some… organized crime groups run highly profitable businesses. Wanlong Society must need profitable ventures to support so many members. So besides drugs, gambling, and prostitution, what other business is that profitable?”
Simultaneously, the same four words surfaced in everyone’s minds: human organ trafficking.
“Holy shit…”
“No… no way…”
“Why not? Why else would they collect all our information? I think they’re matching our profiles, and once they find buyers, they’ll…”
He didn’t finish, but everyone understood his meaning.
Recalling those black-clad enforcers’ methods and that bone-chilling aura surrounding Young Mistress Liu Yutong, the more they thought about it, the more plausible this theory seemed.
“Mother of god!”
A blond kid just started wailing.
“I’m dropping out! I’m going home!”
“Me too! I’m not studying here anymore!”
“Help! I don’t want my kidney stolen! This Pearl City is too dark!”
