Chapter 539: The Fall of Vulture Master

Downstairs, that dark mass of people instantly sprang into action at Liu Yutong’s command.

“Smash everything!”

“Anyone who tries to stop us gets taken down on the spot!”

“Charge!”

“…….”

Countless black-clad figures donned the yellow hard hats they’d prepared in advance, wielding “special weapons” like fire axes and demolition hammers as they advanced on the Heavenly Club.

As soon as they reached the club entrance, some of the black-clad figures skillfully blocked the security cameras with umbrellas. Immediately after, a chorus of crashing and shattering echoed out.

The two majestic stone lions flanking the entrance.

“Smash!”

The glass doors.

“Smash!”

The marble walls and Roman columns.

“Smash!”

In short, anything that caught their eye or happened to be within reach fell victim to their fury—nothing was spared.

Yet despite this tempest of destruction, they remained oddly courteous—a dedicated team was dispatched to evacuate innocent patrons.

“Out! Everyone out! We’re closing for renovations!”

“What? When will we reopen? You’ve got the wrong guy, pal. Ask the owner. We just handle the demolition.”

“………”

Meanwhile.

“B-boss! Something huge is happening downstairs! Those black-clad figures really stormed in!” A security guard scrambled into the office, practically rolling and crawling.

A surge of rage shot through Vulture Master. The enemy was already at the gates—what was the point of reporting now?

“Spit it out!”

“D-downstairs! Those black-clad figures pulled out… pulled out the big stuff!”

The big stuff? Could that madwoman Liu Yutong actually be using guns? Had she lost her mind?!

“What big stuff? Are they packing heat?”

“Well, not guns… but they’ve got hydraulic cutters, sledgehammers, and… and jackhammers!”

Vulture Master: “???”

General Manager: “???”

What the hell? Were they here for revenge or renovation?

Vulture Master raced to the top-floor surveillance room. The bloody battle he’d imagined never materialized—mainly because his underlings and guards couldn’t hold the line at all.

The crucial problem was that the intruders came prepared. The surveillance screens showed only darkness, nothing else. But the thunderous clangs and buzzing drills echoing from the stairwell painted a vivid picture of devastation, especially with underlings reporting in real-time over the radio.

The black-clad Wanlong Society operatives worked with terrifying efficiency. Not only did every member wear a hard hat, but they’d organized into dozens of specialized teams.

Some handled evacuation, others cleared out thugs and security, some set up safety lines to protect bystanders from falling debris, and still others—looking like professional demolition crews—wielded hydraulic shears, sledgehammers, and power drills to mercilessly smash glass doors, marble floors, walls, gold-plated decorations…

If not for their black uniforms, they could’ve passed for a legitimate demolition company.

Listening to the reports, Vulture Master went numb. They were really going to demolish his club completely!

The renovations alone had cost nearly a hundred million yuan—luxurious beyond measure. Total destruction would be devastating.

“She’s insane! That woman has completely lost it!” Vulture Master clutched his chest, feeling the onset of a heart attack.

But the reports kept coming.

“Boss! They’ve finished the first floor and are storming the second!”

“Boss! The second-floor bar and supermarket are wrecked! They hosed down all the liquor with fire hoses! 82 Lafite! Treated like tap water!”

“Boss! They’re on the third floor! They smashed through the waterfall wall in the Crystal Palace VIP room with sledgehammers! Water’s flooding everywhere! It’s all underwater!”

“Boss, the third-floor casino equipment…”

“What happened to the casino equipment?!”

“They didn’t smash it, but they sealed everything off. Said it was ‘evidence of performance’ or something?”

“Evidence of performance?”

Before Vulture Master could process this, another bombshell hit, leaving him reeling.

“Boss! They’ve cleaned out the finance office! Safes, documents—even the accountants themselves were bagged and hauled away!”

This was too much. Vulture Master shouted into the radio: “Stop them! Now! Send people to stop them!”

“Can’t, boss! There’s too many of them! We can’t hold them back!”

“Maybe we should surrender, boss? We’ll be heroes again in eighteen years!”

“Boss, I’m hurt. Can we still get workers’ comp?”

“Boss, could we get this month’s paycheck first?”

“Boss? Boss? You still there?”

“May the families of wage thieves rot!”

“……..”

Vulture Master’s blood pressure skyrocketed. He smashed the radio, his vision darkening at the edges.

He’d spent a lifetime in the underworld. He’d seen everything. But this bandit-style demolition and kidnapping of accountants? This was a first.

Was Liu Yutong some kind of demon?!

The General Manager retained some sense and shouted: “Boss! Hurry! Use our secret escape route! Live to fight another day!”

Since the club dealt in some… questionable enterprises, they’d built a secret passage for quick escapes during raids—useful for whisking patrons to safety.

Vulture Master snapped to attention. Right! The emergency passage ran from the basement to a narrow alley behind the club.

Forgetting the losses for now, they bundled up crucial documents, gold, and valuables, gathering a few trusted lieutenants.

Never in his life had he been so humiliated. As he ran, he cursed Liu Yutong’s ancestors eighteen generations back.

Thankfully, the passage was well-hidden—they encountered no Wanlong Society members.

At the final hidden door leading to the alley, Vulture Master paused. He looked back at his club, soon to be rubble, eyes flashing with grim determination.

“You forced my hand, Liu Yutong! If I’m going down, I’m taking you with me!” Liu Yutong’s demolition crew had cost him tens of millions. If he spent big to expose this, that woman wouldn’t escape unscathed.

Once such a vicious crime created public outrage, no amount of influence could suppress it. If exposed, no leader could protect Liu Yutong.

“Let’s go!”

Having decided, he shoved open the trashcan-disguised exit. But the moment he peeked out, they froze.

The rain still fell. At the passage exit stood a neat row of Wanlong Society members holding black umbrellas.

Their leader was a young man with gold-rimmed glasses, looking refined and scholarly. He carried no weapon—only a folder.

“Vulture Master, we’ve been expecting you. Allow me to introduce myself: I’m Zhao Tianyi, chief attorney at Tianyi Law Firm. Regarding your club’s demolition, we need your signature to confirm our work was completed thoroughly, without any… slacking off.”

“Agreement? What agreement? I never signed anything!” Vulture Master roared once it clicked.

“Now now, at your age, you should take supplements for your memory. How could you forget something so important? Think back—didn’t you dine with Real Estate Tycoon Huang and our Young Mistress recently? Didn’t you sign an agreement then? It was in duplicate. You should have a copy.”

“Think carefully.”

At Zhao Tianyi’s reminder, Vulture Master’s eyes widened. He remembered.

He had signed some renovation/demolition contract. At the time, he couldn’t fathom why Liu Yutong wanted it signed—thought she wanted a cut of his real estate deal with Tycoon Huang. Of course, he had no choice; refusal meant no ceasefire. Looking back, it was all premeditated! That woman was vicious, calculating!

Seeing his silence, Zhao Tianyi continued: “Of course, considering potential mental distress from the demolition, per the addendum you signed, we’re prepared to offer full compensation.”

He pulled out a check from his folder and offered it. Vulture Master took it. In the amount field, in bold print: One Yuan.

A hundred million yuan club, and compensation was one lousy yuan? He looked up at the lawyer’s smug grin, felt a metallic sweetness in his throat.

“You… you…!” Vulture Master pointed at Zhao, then coughed up blood. His vision blacked out as he collapsed backward, unconscious.

Zhao Tianyi watched the collapsed Vulture Master impassively and gestured to the black-clad men behind him: “Vulture Master is overcome with emotion and has fainted. Take him back to ‘receive proper medical care.’ Remember, we’re law-abiding citizens. Show humanitarian concern.”

“Yes!”

Two black-clad men stepped forward, each grabbing a leg. They hauled the limp Vulture Master out like a dead dog. Not that they meant to be rough—they just lacked the strength to carry him.

Zhao Tianyi pulled out his phone and dialed, his tone turning respectful. “Young Mistress, mission accomplished. Everything is legal and compliant. You can report success to… our visitors.”

“Excellent!”

Through the rain curtain. The Heavenly Club’s sign, after a massive impact from within, could bear no more—and plummeted down!
