Chapter 485: Good Stuff?
Just as Brother Pao was so scared he was about to wet his pants, begging for mercy, Shen Hao, standing beside the Land Rover, was also dumbfounded.
He watched as the black mass of people appeared, stretching as far as the eye could see, his mouth hanging open.
“Holy shit! Old Gu’s really pulling out all the stops, huh? Is this a movie shoot? How much would it cost to hire this many extras? No, wait—this presence, this doesn’t look acted at all.”
He’d imagined many ways Gu Yebai might make his entrance, but the most likely scenario had been him showing up with the cops to arrest everyone.
He never expected Gu Yebai to give him such a huge surprise.
He’d originally planned to demand compensation for emotional distress from Gu Yebai once this was over.
But now, he felt the guy was truly a stand-up friend.
This was a brother you could count on!
When trouble came, he really showed up—and brought an army with him!
Just as Shen Hao was wondering why Gu Yebai still hadn’t shown himself, the situation on the scene changed again.
He saw that Yu Xin no longer paid attention to Brother Pao kneeling and begging for mercy. Instead, she turned slightly, her gaze shifting to a car behind the Escalade, and her eyes actually showed a hint of respect?
This subtle movement sent a jolt through everyone present who could still think straight.
Yu Xin wasn’t the leader of these black-clad men?
Was an even bigger shot coming?
The next second, the rear door of the Maybach was respectfully pulled open by a black-clad man.
First emerged a foot in exquisite black flats, then a slender figure bent down and stepped out of the car.
When they got a clear look at the newcomer, everyone, including Shen Hao, was stunned once again.
It was actually a very young-looking girl.
She wore a black suit, her hair tied in a bun, revealing a smooth forehead and an exceptionally delicate face that still held some youthful innocence.
She looked, at most, eighteen or nineteen.
Yet completely at odds with her age were her eyes.
Clear, yet carrying a calmness beyond her years.
Wherever her gaze fell, even the Wanlong Society’s black-clad men unconsciously straightened their backs.
Finally, amid the respectful postures of countless black-clad men, she arrived before everyone, her gaze landing on Shen Hao, who was still in a daze.
“Holy shit! Sister Yutong?”
“This… all these people are yours?”
Though like everyone else, Shen Hao knew the ‘background’ of this big sister figure Liu Yutong he’d only acknowledged recently.
For instance, her Wanlong Society was the kind of organization that operated in both legitimate and illegitimate circles.
On the surface, it ran legitimate businesses, but behind the scenes, it maintained a group of especially capable enforcers.
He’d just never seen it in action before—today was a real eye-opener.
It really felt like a movie come to life.
Just then, a familiar voice came from behind Liu Yutong.
“Haozi, how’s that? Pretty impressive entrance I found for you, right? Satisfied? Surprised? Unexpected?”
“Hahahaha…….”
Gu Yebai and Zhou Muchen emerged from the crowd of black-clad men, grinning.
They stopped half a step behind Liu Yutong, first greeting her, then winking at Shen Hao.
Shen Hao looked at Gu Yebai’s ‘hurry up and thank daddy’ expression, then at the imposing Liu Yutong before him—finally recovering from his immense shock, a strange thrill welled up inside him.
Today’s scene had genuinely thrilled him!
He finally understood why so many people liked living the gangster life.
This kind of presence—what man could resist it?
He was even thinking, maybe he should join too. After all, he was different from Gu Yebai and the others—his family was in business…
Soon after, Zhu Silin and Bai Shisui also recovered from their shock and came forward to greet Liu Yutong.
“Sister Yutong.”
“Sister Yutong.”
Their internal shock was no less than Shen Hao’s.
So this was what real gangsters were like—and the big sister had created it all herself.
So cool! So impressive!
Liu Yutong also smiled and greeted them. After exchanging a few words, everyone finally turned their attention back to Brother Pao and his group.
Brother Pao was also deeply shocked. He’d originally thought Yu Xin was impressive enough, but he never expected the boss behind her to be so ridiculously young as well.
Shen Hao now returned to Brother Pao and his men. Seeing the group that had been so arrogant and ready to chop off his hand now pale with fear and drenched in cold sweat, he grinned sinisterly.
“Brother Pao, weren’t you acting all tough just now?”
“Come on, show me that tough act again?”
Where was Brother Pao’s earlier arrogance now? His lips trembled as he spoke: “Bro… brother… no, Boss! Mistake! A huge misunderstanding! I didn’t recognize your greatness! I’m worthless! I’m scum!”
As he spoke, he actually raised his hand and slapped himself twice across the face.
Shen Hao touched the bandage on his forehead and sneered: “Haha, so now you know it was a mistake? Where was that earlier?”
Then he turned to the three blond-haired thugs who’d attacked him: “Weren’t you three saying I was full of shit earlier? Still think I’m bluffing?”
The three blond thugs were terrified, kowtowing repeatedly: “Boss, I was wrong! I have a big mouth! I’m worthless! Please be magnanimous and let me go like a fart!”
“Call me Grandpa!”
“Grandpa, we were wrong! We really were wrong!”
“……”
After venting some of his anger, Shen Hao looked toward Gu Yebai.
His look said: I might be doing something excessive today, you’ve got to cover for me.
Gu Yebai nodded and said with a grin: “Haozi, you’re the one who got hurt today, so you call the shots! Vent however you want. Yutong’s got your back, and I’ll clean up the mess. Do whatever you want.”
He said this casually, but it revealed his immense confidence.
For instance, he had already informed the local authorities about Wanlong Society bringing this many people.
Of course, this was something Liu Yutong had told them in advance when she learned they were coming to support Shen Hao.
After all, they were in unfamiliar territory, bringing over a thousand men into conflict with local gangsters.
Not reporting it would cause some minor trouble.
Once they were more familiar with the area, it wouldn’t be an issue.
Hearing Gu Yebai’s words and looking at the dense crowd of black-clad men around him, Shen Hao nodded.
He looked around, picked up a machete from the ground, then walked back to the blond thugs, a cruel grin on his face.
The blond thugs were scared out of their minds, begging frantically once again.
“Boss! Grandpa! Spare us!”
“……..”
Shen Hao was clearly burning with rage. If Wanlong Society’s people hadn’t arrived in time, he could’ve lost an arm today.
So he planned to take theirs in return.
Just as he was about to raise the blade, a man wearing gold-rimmed glasses stopped him.
“Young Master Shen, please wait a moment.”
Before Shen Hao could react, the man had someone bring over two items.
One was something like a chest protector, the other a palm-length, pitch-black metal rod.
“Young Master Shen, these are two special items from Wanlong Society. One is a custom-made chest protector. If you enjoy the feeling of violence, want to vent, you can use this—it guarantees a satisfyingly visceral experience without leaving any evidence.”
“As for the second, the moment it touches skin it generates intense vibration and stabbing pain, the agony drilling straight to the bone—guaranteed to leave an unforgettable impression. Afterwards, there’s at most some redness and swelling, not even qualifying as a minor injury. It fades in minutes.”
“Why use such messy methods when you have such excellent tools? If you end up getting into trouble, it wouldn’t be worth it, would it?”
